Tips for playing G♭m(add9) on guitar
On guitar, G♭m(add9) is most often played as a barre chord across the 2nd fret (244224). While you build strength, you can play just the top four strings of the same shape (xx4224).
Notice the B𝄫 in G♭m(add9) (G♭ B𝄫 D♭ A♭): each note of the chord takes its own letter (G–B–D–A), so the minor 3rd has to be written B𝄫 rather than A — the same key on a piano, spelled to fit the chord.
