Metronome
A clear, steady metronome with tap tempo, time signatures, subdivisions and a speed trainer that nudges the tempo up as you practice.
BPMModerato
- Keyboard
- Space starts and stops, ↑ ↓ change the tempo by 1, T taps the tempo.
- Speed trainer
- Start slow and let the metronome raise the tempo every few bars — the fastest way to build clean speed.
How to practice with a metronome
- Set a tempo slow enough that you can play the passage perfectly — slower than feels necessary.
- Play along until it’s clean three times in a row, then raise the tempo by 4–5 BPM. The speed trainer can do this for you.
- For strumming, try 2 clicks per beat (eighth notes) and strum down on the beat, up on the “and”.
- Tap tempo: tap the button (or press T) along with a recording to find its speed.
