How to play Name That Chord
- Press Play: you’ll hear a C major chord to set the key, then the mystery chord.
- Listen for the bass note (the lowest note) to find the root, then decide whether it sounds major (bright) or minor (darker).
- Level 1 uses only the six chords of C major — C, Dm, Em, F, G and Am — the chords in thousands of songs. Then try any major or minor chord, then 7ths.
