- Lay your index finger (1) flat across 2 strings at the 1st fret — this is the barre.
- 4th string (G): 3rd fret, ring finger (3) A♯
- 3rd string (C): play open B♯
- 2nd string (E): 1st fret, held by the barre E♯
- 1st string (A): 1st fret, held by the barre A♯

Tips for playing A♯sus2 on ukulele
On ukulele the usual A♯sus2 shape is 3011, with a small 2-string barre at the 1st fret.
Notice the B♯ in A♯sus2 (A♯ B♯ E♯): each note of the chord takes its own letter (A–B–E), so the major 2nd has to be written B♯ rather than C — the same key on a piano, spelled to fit the chord.
