Playing it

On guitar, Esus2 has an open-position shape, 024400, using three fingers alongside the open strings.

On piano, Esus2 has one black key (F♯) and two white keys.

On ukulele the usual Esus2 shape is 4422, with a small 2-string barre at the 2nd fret.

Related chords

Esus2 contains exactly the same notes as Bsus4. Which name fits depends on which note is in the bass and what key you’re in.

Move a single note and Esus2 becomes a different chord: swap F♯ for G♯ for E, raise F♯ to G for Em, swap F♯ for A for Esus4 and add G♯ for Eadd9.
