How to play C♯5

About the C♯ power chord chord

Playing it

On guitar, the usual C♯5 shape is x466xx at the 4th fret. It has no open strings, so it’s a movable shape — slide it along the neck for other power chord chords. Don’t strum the low E, B and high E strings.

On piano, every note of C♯5 is a black key.

On ukulele the usual C♯5 shape is 1144, using four fingers.

Related chords

Move a single note and C♯5 becomes a different chord: add E♯ for C♯, add E for C♯m, add F♯ for C♯sus4 and add D♯ for C♯sus2.
