How to play D5

About the D power chord chord

Playing it

On guitar, D5 is one of the friendlier shapes: xx023x needs just two fingers and lets the open strings ring. Don’t strum the low E, A and high E strings.

On piano, D5 sits entirely on white keys.

On ukulele the usual D5 shape is 2255, using four fingers.
