How to play E♭5

About the E♭ power chord chord

Playing it

On guitar, the usual E♭5 shape is x688xx at the 6th fret. It has no open strings, so it’s a movable shape — slide it along the neck for other power chord chords. Don’t strum the low E, B and high E strings.

On piano, every note of E♭5 is a black key.

On ukulele the usual E♭5 shape is 3366, using four fingers.

Related chords

Move a single note and E♭5 becomes a different chord: add G for E♭, add G♭ for E♭m, add A♭ for E♭sus4 and add F for E♭sus2.
