Playing it

On guitar, Bm6 has an open-position shape, x20102, using three fingers alongside the open strings. Don’t strum the low E string.

On piano, Bm6 has two black keys (F♯ and G♯) and two white keys.

On ukulele the usual Bm6 shape is 1222, using four fingers.

Related chords

Bm6 contains exactly the same notes as A♭m7♭5. Which name fits depends on which note is in the bass and what key you’re in.
