How to play Dm6

About the D minor 6th chord

Playing it

On guitar, Dm6 is one of the friendlier shapes: xx0201 needs just two fingers and lets the open strings ring. Don’t strum the low E and A strings.

On piano, Dm6 sits entirely on white keys.

On ukulele the usual Dm6 shape is 4210, using three fingers.
